The 2019 Exeter Flash Competition - Winners
Congratulations to our winners! What a privilege it was to read such a wonderful selection of stories. Flash fiction may be short, but it can be as intense, exciting or emotional as a longer story. Difficult choices had to made, but first prize went to a reworking of Jack and the Beanstalk. It was witty and utterly charming. Read it HERE
Individual voice and vivid writing paid an important part in our choices for second and third this time. We were immediately drawn in to the characters and their situations. Read them HERE
